Freelance Site Manager

Location:-Pontefract, West Yorkshire
Duration:-18 Days (Holiday Cover)-
Start Date:-Thursday 1st October-

Project:-It is a small scheme providing new structural support to an existing retaining wall at the Haribo Factory.-

We are recruiting for an experienced-Freelance Site Manager-to oversee the delivery of a specialist civil engineering and structural project in Pontefract.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple subcontractors including piling, groundworks, steelwork and brickwork.
• Manage permit-to-work systems and ensure all permits are correctly administered.
• Review, communicate and enforce RAMS across all site activities.
• Monitor and update the construction programme, ensuring key milestones are achieved (Asta Powerproject experience desirable).
• Manage site logistics, sequencing of works and access within a constrained live environment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues proactively.
• Ensure plant, lifting operations and equipment are planned and carried out safely.
• Manage site inductions and ensure all personnel are competent and compliant.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering, structural or infrastructure projects.
• Competent using digital construction management platforms (experience with systems such as Procore is advantageous).
• Asta Powerproject experience is highly desirable.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates are essential.
