Design Manager - Water Industry

A leading Tier-1 contractor delivering large non-infrastructure projects within the water industry is looking for a Design Manager and Senior Design Manager to lead and govern the development of innovative, cost-effective design solutions on their Thames Water framework.

Duties for Design Manager:

• Lead and support multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions.

• Ensure the development of cost-effective design solutions that align with the scope of work and-project budgets.

• Provide strategic direction and leadership in the design process.

• Systematically record, monitor, and control design changes to maximise cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support and mentor design managers and engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Conduct regular design review meetings to monitor progress and address any challenges proactively.

Qualifications/Experience for Design Manager:

• HNC/HND/Degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent
• Experience working within water or similar process-driven environment
• Contractual and commercial knowledge
• Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
• Eligible to work in the UK
