This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV class 2 drivers looking for ongoing work, consistent hours and the opportunity to work for the local council. The HGV Class 2 Driver Role You will be responsible for driving a refuse collection vehicle as part of a waste collection crew, working alongside a couple of bin loaders to collect public waste across Rochdale. HGV Class 2 Driver Duties will include: Driving HGV refuse collection vehicles safely and responsibly Working as part of a three-person waste collection team Collecting household and public waste Operating the vehicle in accordance with site and road safety procedures Carrying out daily vehicle checks Working alongside loaders to ensure collections are completed efficiently On occasion, assisting with loading duties when required Maintaining a professional approach when working in public area If you are required to work as a loader, you will still be paid the full driver''s rate.
