We''re seeking a reliable and organised Stores & Purchasing Operator to support smooth purchasing and inventory operations. You''ll be a vital link between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring materials flow efficiently and stock is managed accurately to keep the business running seamlessly.
 
The Stores & Purchasing Operator will:

• Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying items against purchase orders.
• Identify and report damaged, incorrect, or substandard goods.
• Store stock correctly and maintain organisation following FIFO principles.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktakes.
• Pick, prepare, and dispatch items promptly and accurately.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and returns.

 
The Stores & Purchasing Operator will have:

• Valid forklift licence.
• Computer literate with good organisational skills.
• Strong adherence to procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• COSHH awareness or training.
• Working at heights certification.
• Previous experience in stores or warehouse environment.
