We''re seeking a reliable and organised Stores & Purchasing Operator to support smooth purchasing and inventory operations. You''ll be a vital link between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring materials flow efficiently and stock is managed accurately to keep the business running seamlessly.
The Stores & Purchasing Operator will:
- Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying items against purchase orders.
- Identify and report damaged, incorrect, or substandard goods.
- Store stock correctly and maintain organisation following FIFO principles.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktakes.
- Pick, prepare, and dispatch items promptly and accurately.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and returns.
The Stores & Purchasing Operator will have:
- Valid forklift licence.
- Computer literate with good organisational skills.
- Strong adherence to procedures and health & safety guidelines.
- COSHH awareness or training.
- Working at heights certification.
- Previous experience in stores or warehouse environment.
