The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established and well-respected manufacturing and engineering business. This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety, where you’ll be working with a wide range of machinery and equipment, carrying out breakdown repairs as well as planned maintenance tasks.

The position is based on the outskirts of St Neots and offered on a permanent, full-time basis. The company has built a strong reputation in its field for reliability, quality, and innovation. Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain site machinery including Machine Shop Mills, Lathes, Drills, and Sheet-Metal/Fabricating equipment (hand tools, polishers, heaters, etc.)
• Assemble and fit new equipment as required
• Carry out electrical work across the site
• Undertake plumbing and general site maintenance tasks
• Respond to and resolve breakdowns efficiently
• Uphold quality engineering standards both in the factory and on client sites
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and discipline

Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role
• Strong mechanical skills with some electrical knowledge
• Ability to fault-find and carry out both reactive and planned maintenance
• Good understanding of health & safety practices in a manufacturing environment
• Team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Flexible approach and willingness to work overtime when required
