Gallagher Specialty’s Marine division manages a global portfolio of clients across various sectors, including Hull and Machinery, Marine Liability, Ports and Terminals, Cargo, and Yachts. We are seeking a Claims Broker Technician with some prior experience in handling HandM and Yacht claims (including PandI and crew). The role will also provide opportunities to develop knowledge in other Marine classes. As a key member of our growing team, you will manage a caseload of worldwide marine claims, guiding them from initial notification to settlement. Manage claims from initial advice through to settlement, ensuring a seamless process for our clients.Negotiate claims effectively with clients, Lloyd''s, and Company markets to achieve favorable outcomes.Support Broking Teams in client retention and acquisition efforts.Utilize your understanding of technical issues in claims presentation to negotiate optimal results for clients.Present facts strategically to facilitate the settlement of claims, ensuring client satisfaction.Stay informed about market trends and industry changes to provide clients and agents with effective risk management advice, aligned with AJG principles and values.Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.Qualifications
About YouCert CII/Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) desirableEducated to A-Level standard or equivalentTechnical KnowledgeKnowledge of the Marine industry and Insurance marketDetailed knowledge of market claim proceduresExperienceProven track record of technical claims handling of all Marine Hull and Liability claims (specific experience with yacht claims desirable)Skills/OtherExcellent planning skillsAble to interpret data with accuracy and present findings articulatelyInnovative approach in problem solvingStrong interpersonal and negotiation skillsAuthentic communication skills for varying audienceComfortable and credible at decision-maker levelPersistent and tenacious in achieving resultsSelf-motivated and motivates others to achieveContinually builds and sustains a network managing relationshipsMS Office and other relevant IT systems expertiseEligible to work in the UKCompensation And Benefits
