Marc Daniels are working with a well-known company in Manchester who are looking for a Senior finance manager to take ownership of the full month-end cycle and lead the management accounting function.This is a high-visibility role within a busy finance function, offering the chance to drive process improvement, develop the management accounting team and partner closely with senior stakeholders across the group.Key responsibilities will include:Owning the full month-end and year-end close cycle: journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.Producing monthly management accounts with clear commentary, KPI analysis and variance explanations for senior leadership.Directly line-managing the management accounting team (Team of 8), including workload planning, performance management, coaching and development.Reviewing and approving management accountants'' work: PandL, balance sheet, flux analysis and month-end packs.Maintaining and enhancing financial controls, policies and governance across the management accounting function.Overseeing statutory reporting, audit coordination and compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS as applicable.Driving budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes in partnership with commercial and operational leaders.Identifying and delivering process improvements, automation and system enhancements (ERP, reporting tools, workflows).Providing strategic finance business partnering support to department heads and the executive team.About ..... full job details .....
