As a Controls Engineer, you ll be right at the heart of keeping production lines running smoothly - Tackling complex control challenges, driving process improvements, and helping to shape the next generation of smart manufacturing on-site. This is a hands-on, high-impact role within the Engineering Department, supporting workshops, plant rooms, and production areas, no two days will ever look the same.What You ll Be DoingYou ll take the lead on maintaining and improving the site s automation and control systems, from fault-finding to upgrades and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software faults across live production control systems (including PLC, HMI, and networked devices). Carry out online code monitoring, modification, and development - Ideally in Siemens TIA Portal / Simatic Manager. Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings. Catalogue site control systems, maintain backups, and manage obsolescence planning. Support SAT/FAT processes and ensure all controls documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
