Would you like to gain classroom experience before starting your teacher training?Then this is an amazing opportunity for you!We are working with a forward-thinking all-through Academy in Edgware who are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their school in September.The RoleAs a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils working at all levels including children with Special Educational Needs within a class or across a year group.Your role will include:Providing support to individual students and groups within the class ensuring pupils understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to make progress.Leading small groups in English, Maths, phonics and readingWorking with students with SEN and additional learning needsSupporting the preparation of classes including resources and equipmentAssisting with assessments/observations where requiredAssisting with extra-curricular events and initiativesProviding support during break and lunchtimes as requiredTo apply for this role you must have:A Bachelors degreeA minimum of Grade C/4 in GCSE English and GCSE MathsAn interest in pursuing a career in educationStrong verbal and written EnglishExcellent communication skillA calm and approachable mannerThe AcademyThis large all-through academy is based ..... full job details .....
