SMSTS Site Manager - Ilford - -350 per day

We are looking for an experienced SMSTS Site Manager with a strong general construction and M&E background for an NHS healthcare refurbishment project in Ilford.

Details:

• Location: Ilford
• Start: 28/09/2026
• Rate: -350 per day
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
• Overtime: Available
• Weekend/night work: Flexibility required
• Parking: Free on site

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site activities and ensure works are completed safely and to programme
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage site teams
• Oversee construction and M&E works
• Monitor quality, progress and health & safety
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and regular site inspections
• Liaise with the Principal Contractor, client and project team
• Manage deliveries, materials and site logistics
• Ensure all site documentation and records are kept up to date
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and project requirements

Requirements:

• SMSTS - essential
• Asbestos Awareness
• Working at Heights
• Basic DBS required, or must be able to pass a Basic DBS check
• Mechanical qualification / time-served mechanical background preferred
• Previous experience working for a Principal Contractor highly desirable
• NHS/healthcare refurbishment experience advantageous
• Air Source Heat Pump installation experience highly desirable
• Strong general construction and M&E knowledge
