Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded Trust of schools across Sheffield and are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team.

This exciting opportunity offers flexible work across a range of settings, supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and moderate learning difficulties.

The Role

As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Help create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils across different school settings.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff to ensure pupils achieve their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational, care or support setting.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
