CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant, to join a global leading food brand company, at their site based in Reading, on a contract basis for 6 months. Salary: £13.30 per hour PAYE.Laboratory Assistant Role:Will work flexibly across different departments including analytical, food product development and food manufacturing.Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results.Perform a range of basic routine analysis, product manufacturing and sample preparation under supervision of a senior member of staff.Use of specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment, including calibration where required.Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results. Your Background:Experience in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role (LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc.) would be advantageous.A passion for food and some experience in a food environment, e.g. barista, waiter/waitress, worked in a kitchenA-levels in a scientific discipline would be preferred.Ability to operate basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment as required.
