Kitchen Assistant Specialist School - Horsham Hours: 7am - 3pm, Monday to FridaySalary: £13 an hour We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a friendly catering team within a specialist independent school in the Horsham area. The school provides education for children and young people aged 5-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the daily operation of the school kitchen, helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils and staff while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments. Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Washing up and operating kitchen equipment safely. Following food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures. Assisting with stock rotation and storage of deliveries. Working collaboratively with the wider catering team to provide an efficient service.
