Senior Structural Engineer / Consultant / Birmingham

We''re looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Consultant to take a leading role in delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions. You will lead structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, delivering safe, practical, and efficient solutions across a range of sectors. Working independently and within multidisciplinary teams, you will manage design programmes, coordinate delivery, and produce and review calculations, reports, and technical documentation to a high standard.

Alongside project delivery, you will play a key leadership role within the team-mentoring junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. You will also contribute to business development through client engagement, proposals, and identifying opportunities for repeat and new work.

Your expertise will span steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation design, using tools such as RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, TEDDS, and AutoCAD, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and health and safety requirements.

You are a degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with significant consultancy experience delivering structural projects from concept to completion. You combine strong technical ability with clear communication, commercial awareness, and confidence in managing multiple projects and leading teams.

You take pride in engineering quality, enjoy mentoring others, and are comfortable working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
