Frontend software engineer (React)

Overview
The Workload Management team is an integral part of Smarsh Fabric, the platform that underpins our enterprise applications. This team is dedicated to developing robust, scalable, and secure data solutions that empower our products to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Embracing a DevOps culture, the team adheres to Site Reliability Engineering principles, including proactivity, automation, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of an API-first platform for managing infrastructure.Uphold high-quality coding standards with a focus on reusability, maintainability, performance, and testability.Design, implement, and maintain platform infrastructure by automating workflows related to various data stores.Ensure adherence to best practices in security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.Provide operational support for systems and infrastructure associated with day-to-day operations of data store clusters within Smarsh''s Enterprise Platform.Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and availability.Understand API design and development principles.Experience running production workloads at scale on AWS (preferred).Familiarity with technologies such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Kafka, or similar systems (preferred).Proficiency in Python, with a preference for experience using Django (preferred).Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.2-4 years of experience in DevOps or software engineering roles.Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go).Familiarity with IaC/IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated data services.Hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment systems (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton).Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, the ELK stack, or similar managed services.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.A demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.Benefits
