Role: English Teacher - GCSE and Functional SkillsLocation: Lancashire Rate: 220 - 250 per day Contract: Temporary, Full Time About the role Eden Brown are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join the team at a Further Education College in Lancashire on a full-time, temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English teaching across GCSE and Functional Skills, supporting students to develop their literacy, communication and employability skills and achieve their qualifications. You will be joining a supportive college environment and will play an important role in helping students make progress, build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Key responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons across GCSE and Functional Skills programmes. Teach and support students of varying abilities and backgrounds, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs. Prepare students effectively for examinations and assessments. Develop students confidence in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Monitor, assess and record student progress in line with college procedures. Provide constructive feedback to help students understand and improve their work. Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and student progress.
