Be sure to explore our Interviewing Guide to learn how to ace our interview process.About the Role : Amazon Interactive Video Service (IVS) is an AWS service that allows developers to easily leverage the low-latency highly-distributed live video platform that powers Twitch in their own services. The IVS Console is the primary interface through which customers configure, monitor, and manage their IVS resources — including channels, stages, ingest endpoints, playback settings, chat features, and analytics. As a senior frontend engineer on the Twitch Video team, you will build elegant, responsive, and highly functional web interfaces that empower developers, broadcasters, and businesses around the world to deliver low-latency interactive video experiences. You will work with our Video Engineering Team from Vancouver, B.C.

You Will

Design and develop user interfaces for the IVS Console using modern web technologiesWork closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless customer experiencesOwn end-to-end development of features: from design and implementation to deployment and monitoringAdvocate for frontend best practices including testing, performance optimization, and maintainable codeCollaborate with other AWS service teams to integrate shared services and deliver a consistent AWS Console experience

Basic Qualifications

Proficiency in React and TypeScript for building scalable web applicationsExperience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CDK, or equivalent technologiesHands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and CypressSolid understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Amazon IVS APIs and conceptsExperience with Backend service developmentExposure to WebRTC technologies for peer-to-peer video and audio communicationExperience with live streaming or real-time media using JavaScript or TypeScript SDKs

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,700/year up to $251,700/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
