A growing Independent Connection Provider is looking for a Senior Estimator to take ownership of their bidding processes as they look to bring this in house, and progress into a Head of Pre-Construction position as they develop. Until now, all tendering and pricing has been handled externally. The business is looking to take that knowledge, control and capability internally. You ll be setting the standard for how bids are built, costed and submitted across a pipeline of 33kV 132kV projects. You ll have full visibility of the commercial and technical side of schemes and will work closely with engineering and delivery teams from the outset. This isn t a role where you inherit a system and maintain it. You ll be building the approach, tools and processes, and then shaping a team around you as the department grows. What you ll be doing Taking full responsibility for estimating and tendering activity Producing accurate estimates for HV new connection projects (33kV 132kV) Reviewing designs, specifications and client requirements Developing cost models, pricing structures and internal benchmarks Working alongside engineering, commercial and delivery teams to refine submissions Liaising with DNOs/IDNOs and other stakeholders where required Putting in place clear estimating processes, governance and documentation Supporting wider commercial decision-making and bid strategy What they re looking for Background in estimating with an ICP Strong working knowledge of 33kV 132kV ..... full job details .....
