Quality Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire 
Salary: £42,000 - £45.000
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance, continuous improvement, and compliance activities within a precision engineering manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create quality documentation including FAIRs, Quality Plans, and ITPs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Lead non-conformance investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits.
• Work closely with Operations, Customers, and Suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Drive quality improvements, reduce scrap, and improve process performance.

Skills & Experience

• Proven Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of RCA, CAPA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA and AS9102 FAIR requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Good understanding of CNC and conventional machining processes.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• CMM programming experience desirable.

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
• External Auditor Training.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
