Centreless Grinder Operator 

Pay Rate: £14 per hour
Location: Dudley
Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:15

Friday: 08:00 – 15:30

Overtime may be required during peak production periods

 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Centreless Grinder Operator to join our client in Dudley – a successful engineering business.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating a Cincinnati centreless grinding machine, producing high quality components to tight specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong grinding experience looking for a stable role within a skilled manufacturing team.

 

Duties include:

• Setting and operating Cincinnati centreless grinding machines
  
  
• Grinding components to required tolerances and specifications
  
  
• Carrying out quality checks using measuring equipment
  
  
• Making machine adjustments where required
  
  
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working area
  
  
• Following engineering drawings and production instructions
  
  

 

Requirements:

• Previous centreless grinding experience is essential
  
  
• Experience operating Cincinnati machines preferred
  
  
• Ability to read engineering drawings
  
  
• Good understanding of inspection and measurement techniques
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
