SEN Teaching Assistant - responsibilities:

• Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Adapt resources and support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Support pupils with communication, social and emotional development
• Follow EHCPs and individual support plans where required
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare of pupils at all times in line with KCSIE guidance

SEN Teaching Assistant - requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (school or care setting)
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Flexible, reliable and professional attitude
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Understanding of safeguarding in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
