A contract position Outside IR35On-site/Hybrid working Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace sector, is seeking a CAD Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role will involve creating accurate 3D geometry based on existing designs and CAD data, supporting the development of specialist UAS sub-module components and assemblies.Key Responsibilities:Developing detailed 3D CAD geometry from existing designs and technical dataSmooth Surface ModellingSkeleton Modelling using a top-down approachSub-modules for integration onto UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems)Working with Creo to create, modify and refine aerospace componentsUsing WINDCHILL for CAD data and file managementApplying the AAX plugin for Creo where requiredSupporting the design of aerodynamic enclosures and radomesLiaising with manufacturing facilities to support the fast-turnaround production of partsHelping to determine suitable materials and manufacturing methodsMaintaining accurate design records and ensuring work meets relevant technical requirementsJob Requirements:Experience in 3D CAD engineering, ideally within the aerospace industryUAS, Drone or Radome experienceStrong ability to interpret and develop geometry from existing CAD data and designsProficiency in CreoUnderstanding of WINDCHILL file managementExperience using, or the ability to work with, the AAX plugin for CreoKnowledge of aerodynamic enclosures or radome design would be advantageousAbility to communicate effectively with manufacturing ..... full job details .....
