We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a highly reputable company in Chelmsford. In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Team, playing a vital role in processing and producing accurate financial information. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for processing purchase ledger and sales ledger invoices, ensuring accurate and timely transactions. Conducting supplier and client account reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved. Handling a wide range of financial tasks, including processing subcontractor invoices, preparing accounting journals, and carrying out balance sheet reconciliations. Assisting in the production of departmental reports and contributing to the preparation of the annual budget. Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks to maintain smooth and efficient financial operations. What do you need? Strong administration and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
