We’re building the next generation of how customers watch content and are seeking a Production Workflow Engineer to drive adoption of cloud-based production and post production workflows.DescriptionAmazon MGM Studios (AMS) Production Technology Engineering seeks a Production Workflow Engineer (PWE) to drive adoption of the Studio''s production and post production workflows in the cloud. The PWE will educate customers, internal partners, and third party production companies about the Backlot: Create suite of cloud-based workflows and will build and deploy Backlot: Create workflows. The PWE serves as a primary contact for internal stakeholders and end-customers, gathers requirements, communicates issues to Product and Engineering, and works with customers remotely and in person.Key responsibilitiesDrive adoption of AMS Backlot: Create cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production, and others).Educate customers, internal partners, and third-party production companies about the Backlot: Create workflows.Collaborate with vendors to validate workflows and integrate local workflows with the cloud using Backlot: Create.Build and deploy Backlot: Create workflows; act as a primary contact for internal stakeholders and end-customers.Gather and communicate requirements and issues back to Product and Engineering; work with customers remotely and in person.What you will doBecome a subject matter expert on the Studio’s workflows and post-production workflows in general.Anticipate future trends, identify applications of emerging technologies, and provide information to Product and Engineering to reduce friction and accelerate workflows.Help drive thought leadership around cloud-based media and entertainment workflows and deliver communications to establish AMS as a leader in cloud production.Day in the lifeLead engagements with management and post leadership at partner production and post companies; onboard productions and evangelize cloud production within the Studio and the MandE industry.Deploy and support Studio cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production, etc.) and educate customers and partners to accelerate adoption of cloud-based creative tools.About the TeamAMS Production and Post Technology supports the Studio’s cloud-based workflows. We are a global team with a focus on career growth and collaborative development of cloud-based content creation workflows.Basic QualificationsExperience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics.Production technology and media/entertainment experience, including building and managing post production workflows for films, series, and unscripted productions.Knowledge or experience with industry content creation tools (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS, Blackmagic Resolve, Colorfront On-Set Dailies, Colorfront Transkoder, Adobe Creative Cloud).Preferred QualificationsExperience working directly in customer implementations.Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.Experience with AWS technologies.Business proficiency or fluency in Spanish and/or French.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
