If so, we want you to join our dynamic team as a Highways Operative!Key Responsibilities:Operate a 7.5 Tonne lorry and other machinery with confidence and skill.Work within highways, including traffic management, to enhance road safety.Carry out minor civil engineering tasks such as excavating shallow trenches (up to 1.5m).Conduct public utility service detection to ensure safe operations.Lay gravity drains and associated fixtures and fittings (100mm - 225mm diameter).Work with and connect to live sewers with precision.Participate in out-of-hours call-out (1 week in 8) to maintain service continuity.Get involved in winter service operations as a gritter driver when required.What We''re Looking For:A valid 7.5 Tonne lorry driving licence.Experience working in highway environments, especially in traffic management.Skills in carrying out minor civil engineering works.Knowledge of public utility service detection processes.Ability to lay and connect gravity drains and work with live sewers.Desirable Skills:Class 2 HGV driving licence.Experience in excavating deep trenches (exceeding 1.5m).licence to operate mini diggers.Experience working in confined spaces.What We Offer:A full-time position at 37 hours per week.Competitive salary and benefits ..... full job details .....
