Audit and Accounts Manager

A highly regarded, multi award-winning Top 100 Accountancy Practice with a longstanding presence in the industry is looking for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join the team in Beaconsfield. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of audits and accounting assignments from planning through to completion, and working closely with senior leadership.

As Audit and Accounts Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of audit (70%) and accounts (30%) clients.
- Planning, overseeing and reviewing audit and accounts assignments.
- Supervising, allocating work, and mentoring junior staff.
- Preparing and finalising statutory financial statements (UK GAAP).
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing updates and insights.
- Contributing to proposals and pricing for new/existing clients.
- Staying updated on audit, accounting, and regulatory developments.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality.
We’re looking for an Audit and Accounts Manager with:
- An ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience at Manager level within UK practice.
- Strong audit expertise (70%) with accounts knowledge (30%).
- Experience managing a client portfolio independently.
- Skilled in supervising and reviewing junior staff.
- Proficiency with CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation, Outlook, and CCH Practice Management.
- In-depth technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and auditing regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organised, detail-driven, and commercially aware.
- Professional, approachable, and confident in client-facing situations.
