Structural Engineer - Cardiff

Salary: Up to -50,000, depending on experience

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a variety of structural engineering projects, working closely with architects, contractors, clients and other consultants.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking structural analysis and design across a range of projects
• Producing structural calculations, reports and technical documentation
• Designing structures in a variety of materials
• Developing structural schemes from concept through to detailed design
• Producing and reviewing technical drawings
• Liaising with architects, contractors and other members of the design team
• Attending site visits and providing technical support where required
• Managing your own workload and contributing to successful project delivery

About You

The ideal Structural Engineer will have around 3-4 years'' relevant consultancy experience, although candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply.

You should have:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Relevant experience within a structural design consultancy
• A strong understanding of structural engineering principles
• Experience working across a range of building projects
• Good structural analysis and design skills
• Strong technical calculation and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team
