We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operational Risk Analyst to join a dynamic first-line risk team within a capital markets environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing operational risk, a strong understanding of capital markets products, and in-depth knowledge of the trade life cycle.Role and Responsibilities

Act as a first-line risk professional, identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across trading, settlement, and related processes.Monitor and report on operational risk events, losses, and near-misses, ensuring timely escalation and follow-up.Support risk assessments for new products, services, or processes, highlighting potential operational vulnerabilities.Maintain a strong understanding of trade life cycles across various asset classes and ensure accurate risk monitoring at each stage.Collaborate closely with front-office, middle-office, and control functions to implement robust operational risk controls.Assist in developing, reviewing, and improving policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.Contribute to risk reporting and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.Qualifications and Requirements

Proven experience in first-line operational risk within a capital markets environment.Strong knowledge of trading products (equities, derivatives, FX, fixed income) and their trade life cycles.Experience in risk identification, assessment, and control implementation.Ability to analyze complex processes and identify potential operational vulnerabilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.Previous experience within a trading, brokerage, or financial services firm.Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk.Seniority level
