Full lifecycle of building, testing and calibrating (not just analysts doing validation and calibration, and not just solely building)Not just using RMS , actually coding and building loss models with hazard model inputsResearch, implement, and champion advanced loss models that quantify climate-related risksCalibrate and validate models using qualitative and quantitative techniques, ensuring scientific rigorContribute to the design and evolution of a scalable loss modelling framework serving diverse geographies and use casesWork closely with geospatial and financial loss datasets, blending observation data with model output at local to global scalesDocument models, present results, and represent the team at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and industry eventsEssential Requirements
Demonstrable experience in building and calibrating catastrophe / loss models (ideally across multiple perils)Specific coding experience without relying on Moody''s RMS.Proficiency working with geospatial/earth observation data AND large economic or financial loss datasetsProgramming expertise in Python and RExcellent communication, with the ability to make complex models accessible for non-technical stakeholdersVisa sponsorship will ONLY be available if ALL the above requirements are met.What Will Make You Stand Out
