Headley have a vacancy for an experienced Production Engineer with an established engineering business near Leeds. The company manufacture a range of complex, technical products and require skilled and motivated engineers to add to their team This is a machine shop job position and would be suited to apprentice trained CNC machinists with off tools experience. Duties of the role to include: Creating manufacturing programs using CAM software Component modelling where required Planning and scheduling of jobs, creating job routings and job cards Estimating process lead times Selection of appropriate tooling and liaising with suppliers Purchasing of materials and consumables as required Liaising with sub contract partners as required Required experience: Apprentice trained machine shop engineer, or similar. Career experience working in machine shop environments Excellent understanding of machining processes, materials, tooling Technically sound, able to use CAD/CAM and machine programming software Confident in dealing with suppliers and external contacts Able to supervise the shop floor where required This is an excellent role with an established engineering manufacturer with a growing team able to offer career progression as the role develops.
