Our client, a key player in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a dedicated Principal Systems Engineer - Future Products to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is integral to the newly formed Future Products department, part of Missile Design UK: Emerging Portfolio and Capability function. You will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation''s Vision 2040, taking on a variety of responsibilities to drive innovative solutions in a dynamic working environment.Key Responsibilities:Engaging in early phase design cycle activities, including core Systems Engineering, business development, customer and user engagements, and technology applicability.Involvement in road-mapping, requirement elicitation, bidding for new work, and understanding and fostering capabilities across multi-disciplinary teams.Utilising System Design tools such as DOORS for requirements and Rhapsody for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Design Maturity Assessments.Supporting multiple products across future systems and new business areas, enhancing early phase activities.Job Requirements:Proficiency in DOORS, Rhapsody, and systems design analysis tools such as Pugh Matrix / QFD.Strong Systems Engineering knowledge with a willingness to test new techniques and methodologies to develop concepts and complete systems trade studies.Beneficial experience in weapons systems, missile design, and systems trade studies.Comprehensive understanding of weapon systems, platforms, and ..... full job details .....
