Business Analyst

with experience in Data Governance to join our First Derivative Data team.The ideal candidate will be passionate about ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement robust data governance frameworks, policies, and solutions that enable high-quality, well-managed data across the organization.Responsibilities

Support the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and standardsCollaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure data lineage is captured for all CDEManage data quality controls, reporting, and exception handling to maintain accuracy and consistencyEnsure compliance with regulatory and internal data management requirementsDefine and maintain data ownership and stewardship models (RACI), engaging with stakeholders to assign roles and responsibilitiesPartner with data stewards and SMEs to create and maintain a data dictionary and metadata repositoryContribute to the creation of KPIs and KRIs for the data governance programDrive the iterative deployment of data operating models and policies, leveraging priority use cases to secure business adoptionMaintain governance documentation, including data dictionaries, business glossaries, and test scenariosRequirements

Experience in the financial industry, particularly in investment banking, understanding the nuances of financial data and regulatory requirementsHands-on experience with regulatory reporting data, particularly MiFID and financial reportingFamiliarity with data governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica, or similarExperience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA or DCAMExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and identify solutionsStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentProactive and organized, with strong time management and prioritization skills to manage tasks effectivelyWe offer
