Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted ProvisionWork with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing support in educational and social-emotional developmentOffer flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoringSEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring sessionDeliver holistic, engaging sessions tailored to individual needs to progress educational and social-emotional developmentComplete lesson reports and provide feedback on progressSEN / SEND Tutor requirements
Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)Minimum 2 years teaching experienceExperience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other NeedsExperience and understanding of safeguarding processesEnhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)Two professional referencesYou must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignmentsIt is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.SEN / SEND Tutor employment status
