The RoleAre you a resilient and empathetic individual with experience in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Blackpool.You will be working with children and young people who have faced significant barriers to learning. This role requires a "trauma-informed" approach, focusing on building secure relationships and providing the emotional stability these students need to succeed in the classroom.Key Responsibilities 1:1 SEMH Support: Providing tailored emotional and academic support to students with Complex Needs and EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).De-escalation: Implementing Positive Behaviour Management strategies to support students during periods of emotional dysregulation.EHCP Implementation: Working closely with the SENCO to track progress against Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.ADHD and Autism Support: Utilizing specialist strategies to engage learners with Neurodiverse profiles, including ADHD and ASC.Nurture-Based Learning: Delivering interventions that focus on social skills, self-esteem, and emotional resilience.RequirementsExperience: Previous experience as an SEN TA, Youth Worker, Residential Support Worker, or Mental Health Assistant.Skills: Strong understanding of Safeguarding procedures and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Training: Training in Team Teach, PRICE, or MAPA is highly desirable (but not essential, as training can ..... full job details .....
