A crucial part of the role is to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to include budgeting and to motivate and manage the Senior Marketing Executive, and to manage external resources (PR, design and print).The Marketing Managerwill use efficient database management, administration of visitor databases and visitor research to target appropriate and qualified audiences for our shows.The Marketing Managerwill ensure a consistent and high-level of visitor care from ticketing through to the show.The Marketing Manager also manages all aspects of the team, including leading, recruiting, managing, coaching and motivating direct reports.General DutiesTo effectively manage the Marketing teamTo network within the markets to gain contacts and industry knowledge as well as to understand how USE can maintain a competitive edge in attracting audiences across exhibitors, sponsors and visitorsTo manage and oversee the completion of visitor surveys and Net Promoter Score data.To use survey and NPS data as well as additional market and visitor insights to improve and enhance future show marketing campaignsTo analyse previous marketing campaigns and undertake research to understand the event and the audiences fullyTo provide strategic insight into the development of the shows in both the short, medium and long term and produce the marketing budget with the Event DirectorTo plan and implement the visitor sales marketing campaign in liaison with the Central Marketing TeamTo produce sponsorship support material for the Sales Team and provide creative input into potential sponsorship agreementsTo plan and implement visitor marketing campaigns including print and online advertising, direct mail, sales promotion and partnerships, online, social media and PR campaignsTo develop and agree briefs for team and relevant agencies and suppliers including; creative, ticketing, print and media buying and PR.To develop and maintain professional relationships with media partners, trade associations and other relevant professional organisationsTo appoint and manage agencies and suppliers securing comparative, best-buy deals on an on-going basisRequirements for this Marketing Manager positionExperience:A minimum of 3 years experience in a marketing roleDemonstrable experience managing and motivating a teamExperience in event programming and content generationKnowledge:Demonstrable Market and Industry KnowledgeA strong grasp of digital marketing tools and techniquesFamiliarity with digital marketing methods and requirements including website design and administration.A good understanding of all marketing channels and including email marketing, direct marketing, the use of social media, visitor targeting and researchA good grasp of IT including Outlook and Microsoft OfficeSkills:Ambitious with a desire to develop the eventsThe ability to think creatively and analyticallyHighly organized with excellent time managementExtremely good communication and interpersonal skillsCommitted and determinedAble to pay close attention to detailWilling to learn, adapt and grow within the roleIf you think that you could be the Marketing Manager that our client is looking for, please apply along with a summary of your relevant experience.
