Role Overview You will be teaching Level 1 and Level 2 carpentry to a mix of adult part-time learners and apprentices. The role is based at a modern campus in the Luton area and involves approximately 13 hours per week on a permanent, fractional contract. With the support of levelling-up funding, there is scope to work towards a formal Teaching Qualification (TQ) if you do not already hold one.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualified lecturer in Construction & Built Environment (C&BE) with a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (TQ), or a qualified carpenter with Level 3 Carpentry/C&BE (or equivalent) and a willingness to work towards a TQ
- Strong, demonstrable industry experience in carpentry or construction
- Experience teaching or supporting apprentices and/or adult learners in practical workshop settings
- Ability to inspire and engage diverse groups of learners in vocational education
- Commitment to continuous professional development and sharing best practice
