The Best Connection is currently seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for an ongoing temporary position on behalf of our client based in Gateshead.

This HGV Class 2 Driver role starts on a temporary basis; however, there is genuine potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Safe Delivery:

Transporting and delivering flooring products, including carpets, vinyl, and accessories, to independent retailers and contractors across the North East.

Manual Handling:

This is a physical HGV Class 2 Driver role involving the loading and unloading of carpets and flooring materials.

Customer Service:

Acting as a professional face of the company during multi-drop deliveries and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Vehicle Checks:

Completing all necessary pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.

• Hourly Rate: -14.75 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (No weekends)
• Start Time: 06:30 am
• Contract: Ongoing temporary role with temp-to-perm potential
• Weekly Pay: Every Friday directly into your account
• Holiday Pay: Accrued weekly

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only) for insurance purposes
• A physically fit and proactive approach to multi-drop work
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
