Teach South Kent is working with a range of secondary schools across East Sussex and is looking for enthusiastic, motivated graduates to join schools in a variety of support roles. Opportunities include:

Teaching Assistants
- Supporting students in the classroom and helping them to achieve their potential
- Providing additional support to students who may have additional learning needs
- Working alongside teachers and other support staff
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Cover Supervisor
- Supervising classes in the absence of the usual teacher
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain engaged
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Gaining valuable experience of working within a secondary school setting

Pastoral Support
- Supporting students with their wellbeing, attendance and engagement
- Building positive relationships with young people
- Working alongside pastoral teams, teachers and families
- Helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential

What we're looking for:
You don't necessarily need previous school-based experience. We're particularly interested in graduates who are:

  • Confident communicating with students and staff
  • Able to build positive relationships
  • Resilient, patient and adaptable
  • Interested in developing a career within education, youth work or a related field
Graduates from any subject background are encouraged to apply. Your degree could be in Education, Psychology, Sports, English, Maths, Science, Humanities — or something completely different.
