Job Title: Fire-Stopping Operative (Nights)
Location: Tooting, London, SW17
Pay/Day rate: £290 - £310 

Hours of Work: 6:00pm – 4:00am
Type: Temporary
Start Date: Monday 4th August

We are hiring for a Fire-Stopping Operative that has experience with Quelfire Batt and mastic installation and can work on a retail refurbishment project at an EE Store in Tooting, London. This is a 3-night temporary night shift project and you will be responsible for carrying out fire-stopping works using Bolster Systems for progress tracking and digital compliance.

Duties of a Fire-Stopping Operative

In this role you will be working in the fire-stopping team to complete pre-surveyed fire protection works to specification. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

1. Installing Quelfire Batt and mastic in accordance with manufacturer’s guidance

2. Logging all work via Bolster Systems, including time entries and photographic documentation

3. Ensuring GPS/location services are active during all logged activities

4. Keeping tools and site areas clean and safe for ongoing use

5. Following health and safety guidelines and wearing full PPE

Skills and experience of a Fire-Stopping Operative

As a Fire-Stopping Operative, you need to have experience with:

1. Quelfire fire-stopping systems (installation to standard details)

2. Using Bolster Systems for time tracking, image upload, and recordkeeping

It would be beneficial to the Fire-Stopping Operative role if you also had:

• Fluent spoken English for task clarity and reporting

• Full understanding of fire safety standards

• Punctuality and self-discipline when working night shifts

• Compliance with site dress code (work trousers and plain dark top only)
