This role is ideal for someone who is patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping young children with additional needs thrive in a mainstream school setting.This full-time position is to cover maternity leave and will run from September 2025 to July 2026, with potential for extension depending on school requirements.Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child in Reception with autism, helping them access learning and engage in daily classroom activities. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Use a range of strategies to support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation. Support transitions and routines throughout the school day. Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child and their family.
