We are looking for a proactive professional report to the Head of Technical and manage an Accountant. You will play a critical role as the senior capital and treasury accountant, responsible for providing lead expert advice, managing, maintaining, and reporting on the council s capital and treasury strategy. Key tasks include: • Lead on all Capital and Treasury functions for the council s general fund (GF) and housing revenue accounts (HRA) • Providing technical advice, guidance training and support to service managers to enable delivery of the councils approved capital programme. • Research financial implications in order to support decision making, including financing changes, taxation, and leasing issues. • Play a lead role in quarterly capital budget monitoring in liaison with the service managers challenging forecasts where appropriate. • Maintaining and advising on ..... full job details .....
