Learning and Development Business Partner (Legal) –

Fletchers Group . This role focuses on driving learning and development initiatives for the legal teams, partnering with stakeholders to identify skills needs and implement innovative LandD solutions that enhance capability and productivity. The role supports a hybrid working model with a strong culture of collaboration.Location

Predominantly based in the North West of England, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bolton and Southport, and a team in Cambridge. Hybrid and flexible working practices are offered.In Return Fletchers Can Offer

Work closely with the Director of Legal Training to maintain relations and develop training with the legal teams, including the Costs Team and Court of Protection.Support and deliver parts of Fletchers Academy and other legal training programmes, including assisting with the creation and delivery of a Costs Academy.Ideally have a legal/costs background and draw on experience to train others.Identify learning and development solutions through consultation with others across the company, mainly in the legal teams.Write, deliver and facilitate internal learning materials using approaches such as e-learning, video, mentoring and coaching.Oversee the Apprenticeship programme, develop relationships with apprentices, manage the Apprenticeship Levy, and liaise with training providers.Assist with administration and delivery of the Fletchers Rising Stars and Associates development programmes.Support the induction process, including training new team members and ongoing development.Support the development, promotion and use of the Learning Management System (Acteon).Communicate opportunities internally and answer queries from team members.Develop and maintain relationships with external parties (training providers, barristers’ Chambers, LMS providers, etc.).Support internal processes for professional qualifications and assist the Head of Department with legal qualifications.Assist with management of relationships with non-legal departments.Ensure statutory training requirements are met.Provide data and reports to monitor programme delivery, evaluate quality, assess impact on productivity, and ensure KPIs are met.Plan expenditure and monitor the LandD budget (including Apprenticeship Levy) and optimise usage year-round.Stay up to date with practice developments in relevant areas.Deliver active training in person and online on legal topics as directed.Essential Skills and Experience

A passion to help people learn, develop and grow as professionals.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience in designing, delivering and facilitating LandD interventions and e-learning.Experience in budget management.Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.Excellent organisational skills.Ability to engage and manage key stakeholder relationships.Excellent Microsoft Office and general technology skills.Ability to maintain discretion in confidential matters.Desirable Skills and Experience

Previous experience in the legal sector or delivering training on legal topics.Understanding of or background in costs (qualification or experience in a cost department).Qualification in LandD, training, teaching or law is preferred but not essential.Knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes and the Apprenticeship Levy is advantageous.We reserve the right to close this role before the advertised date depending on candidate calibre and volume.About Fletchers Solicitors
