Your new companyDesian Education are proud to be supporting a Chester-based two-form entry primary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they require a reliable and motivated teaching assistant to join their resource provision on a temporary basis.This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a school that has a superb reputation on a full-time temporary basis.Your new roleWithin this role you will be joining an extremely supportive and experience SEN department, working with an ASD and sensory provision and supporting the class teacher in the delivery of stimulating and engaging lessons. You will work alongside the class teacher and other teaching assistants to support the development of all your new pupils by tailoring your approach to best suit individual developmental needs and EHCP requirements. The pupils you will be supporting all have diagnosed ASD with several of them also being non-verbal. Other core duties will include:Sensory stimuli including sensory rooms and pressure therapyMakaton and PECs to support communicationPositive behaviour supportSupporting during break and lunch timesPersonal/intimate careWhat you need to succeedFull "Right to Work" in the UKAn Enhanced Children''s DBS check or willingness to obtainReferenceable experience supporting children/young people with complex needs within a residential or classroom capacityBe able to commit to a full-time 32.5-hour contractWhat you''ll get in returnIf you are successful in your ..... full job details .....
