About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a specialist school in the Shropshire area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to support pupils in their final year of primary education, delivering engaging and accessible lessons while preparing them for the transition to secondary school.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum and familiar with the Year 6 SATs curriculum and assessment requirements, adapting their teaching to meet individual learning needs.

The role is offered on a rolling long-term basis, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a committed and adaptable Year 6 Teacher who:

• Has experience teaching Year 6 or across Key Stage 2.

• Is familiar with the KS2 SATs curriculum and assessment requirements, particularly in English and Maths.

• Can plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs.

• Has experience working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or is keen to develop their skills in a specialist setting.

• Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a positive approach to behaviour management.

• Can build strong relationships with pupils and support their academic and personal development.

• Is confident preparing pupils for SATs while prioritising their individual progress and wellbeing.

• Is available to work full-time on a rolling long-term basis.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience are desirable.
