An independently owned SME multidisciplinary that has experienced impressive growth in the last 5 years. The building surveying team undertake a wide range of duties from technical professional services to project management across a variety of public and private sectors. As part of their expansion they are looking to hire a Head of Building Surveying to oversee the team and growth plans of the building surveying service line. Offering a comprehensive range of construction consultancy services; design, cost consultancy, project management and engineering, they provide an integrated approach to project delivery.The Role

As a senior professional, you will be responsible for financial performance, commercial strategy, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the building surveying service line achieve maximum value for clients and business growth. You will lead and manage the building surveying team, overseeing the delivery across a wide range of sectors.Main duties include:Strategic Leadership and Business Growth: Define and implement the overall project strategy in alignment with the consultancy’s business goals. Overall responsibility for profit and loss of the building surveying service line.Commercial and Financial Acumen: Ensure profitable and sustainable building surveying execution. Leading business development, advising on bids and contract negotiation.Stakeholder and Client Engagement: Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, ensuring alignment with their objectives while increasing business value.Change and Transformation Leadership: Develop teams, nurture talent, and foster a culture of growth and continuous improvement. Adapt strategies based on industry trends, client needs, and emerging best practices.
