OverviewLYNK has partnered with a UK-based IT and Cyber Managed Service Provider to recruit an L1 System Support Analyst. They have offices in the North of England as well as in the Central belt of Scotland, and they are looking for someone to join the IT team to support internal and external users.

The role provides IT and telecoms support to both internal group companies and external customers as their Managed Service Provider (MSP), both remote and onsite. Responsibilities include logging, managing, and responding to support calls via a ticketing system submitted by email or telephone, through to resolution, while conducting troubleshooting, root cause analysis and diagnosing hardware and software faults. All customer communication will be logged in the ticket system as updates, email correspondence and fault resolution.

This role is on-site in Stirling due to hardware handling requirements, with reasonable flexibility on request. The role reports to the Head of IT and collaborators with a small Cyber team based in the office.

Working hours are rotational: 8-4, 9-5, or 10-6, Monday to Friday.

About youYou will have 1.5 years+ experience in:

Windows 11 and Windows Server operating systems

Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID

On-premises and cloud backups

DNS and DHCP

Desirable experience, but not mandatory:

MAC OS

PowerShell scripts

Experience within an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP)

Network experience with switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi etc

What you’ll be doing

Operate and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure the business delivers effective IT functionality.

Act as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation and for external customers, as well as an escalation point for colleagues.

Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting user, software, and hardware issues.

Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components.

Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.

Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.

Lead projects where required and communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
