Bookkeeper About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a well established practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring accurate financial records and assisting with compliance under Making Tax Digital (MTD) regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive team, providing high-quality bookkeeping services to a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client accounting records, including journals, ledgers and reconciliations. Prepare and submit VAT returns digitally in compliance with MTD requirements. Process invoices, receipts, and payments for multiple clients efficiently. Assist clients with bookkeeping queries and provide guidance on financial processes. Reconcile bank statements and monitor client cash flow. Support preparation of management accounts and reports for clients. Collaborate with accountants to prepare year-end accounts and tax returns. Stay up to date with current bookkeeping practices, software updates and MTD regulations. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. Requirements: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within an accountancy or bookkeeping practice. Strong knowledge of Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT submissions.
