The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to join a forward-thinking academic team. Whether you''re an experienced lecturer or a practising engineer looking to move into teaching, this position offers the chance to have a real impact on future professionals in the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Electrical Engineering modules, including both theory and practical elements, at levels ranging from introductory to HNC.
- Develop and update course materials in line with current industry standards, ensuring content remains relevant and engaging.
- Support and mentor students throughout their studies, providing guidance, feedback, and academic coaching to promote achievement and progression.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and, where appropriate, contribute to research and curriculum innovation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance course delivery and maintain strong links with industry.
About You
- Hold a degree or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Possess (or be willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience in the electrical engineering sector, ideally including applied knowledge of control systems, motors, or instrumentation.
- Be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
