We are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for an experienced-Mechanical Draughtsman-to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on bespoke engineering projects within a technically driven manufacturing environment, producing high quality mechanical drawings and supporting the successful delivery of innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using-AutoCAD-and-Autodesk Inventor.
• Create detailed manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Interpret engineering specifications and ensure drawings meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
• Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and project managers to support project delivery.
• Revise and update existing drawings and documentation as required.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering standards and company procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, Mechanical CAD Technician, or similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, with the ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Desirable

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or bespoke machinery environment.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, welded fabrications, machined components, and assemblies.
• Familiarity with engineering change processes and document control systems.
