What could your placement look like?

Primary:
Cover classes across KS1 and KS2, delivering planned learning and maintaining established classroom routines.

Secondary:
Teach your specialist subject or provide general cover across different year groups.

SEN:
Work within specialist provisions supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, where your previous SEN experience can be put to use.

The priority is allocating you to a role that directly matches your teaching qualification, classroom experience and preferred type of work.

Your responsibilities

Depending on the school and placement, you could be expected to:

• Deliver lessons in accordance with school plans
• Provide general classroom supervision and teaching
• Teach your specialist subject where applicable
• Adapt learning activities to pupil needs
• Manage behaviour consistently
• Establish positive classroom relationships
• Maintain safeguarding standards
• Provide feedback to school staff when required

Essential experience

We are looking for experienced educators with:

• QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification/experience
• Recent UK classroom experience
• Good behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisation
• A commitment to safeguarding
• Flexibility to work across different educational environments

Primary Teachers, Secondary Subject Specialists and teachers with SEN experience are all encouraged to register.
